James J. Morris, Ph.D.

Dr. Jim Morris is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with specialties in child and family counseling, clinical neuropsychology and forensic evaluation. Dr. Morris completed his doctorate at the University of Wyoming. Dr. Morris has been affiliated with Dominion Behavioral Healthcare since 1995. Dr. Morris’ practice at DBH is focused primarily upon evaluation and treatment of children, adolescents and families. Dr. Morris was affiliated for many years with the Pediatrics Department of the Medical College of Virginia, where his duties as a member of the clinical faculty included serving as the principal staff psychologist for that department’s Child Development Clinic and Adolescent Health Services. Prior to moving to full-time practice with DBH, Dr. Morris was the Director of the Division of Forensic Services with the Virginia Department of Behavioral Healthcare. Dr. Morris is a recent graduate of the Virginia Executive Institute, and is an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry with the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine.
