Dr. Chin is a licensed clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist with specialized training in clinical child psychology. He earned his Ph.D from Georgia State University in 2001, while completing a two-year child psychology fellowship at the Yale University Medical School Child Study Center. Dr. Chin has been working in the field of learning disabilities as a clinician and/or researcher for almost 20 years and currently serves as the Assistant Director for Research at the Literacy Institute at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he is involved in several nationally- and locally-funded projects studying reading and language development, including assessment, prevention, and treatment of reading difficulties. Dr. Chin is co-director of the Dominion Achievement Center (www.dominionachievement.com), a specialized program at DBH that provides comprehensive assessment and intensive, research-based intervention services for children with reading disabilities. Dr. Chin provides psychological services to children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of presenting issues, including mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, learning and behavioral difficulties, and adjustment problems.
