Our Services
Primary insomnia (PI) is a sleep disorder that involves difficulty initiating or maintaining sleep, or nonrestorative sleep, that has continued for one month or more. It can impair daytime functioning, cause significant distress, and reduces one's quality of life. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has emerged as a "treatment of choice" for alleviating the sleep/wake symptoms of PI sufferers. A group of DBH clinicians has specialized training and experience in the effective application of CBT to primary insomnia.
