Janice F. McMillan, Ph.D.
Dr. McMillan is both a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Virginia. She has been in private practice in Chesterfield County since 1982, the last 10 years with Dominion Behavioral Healthcare.
Dr. McMillan works with adolescents and adults with a number of clinical issues, including depression, stress, anxiety, adjustment issues, grief, communication problems and relationship difficulties. She has a specialty practice in marital and family therapy. She also works with women who have experienced pregnancy loss. She is a member of the DBH treatment team for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
Dr. McMillan is a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor, as well as a Clinical member of the American Association for Marital and Family Therapy. She received her doctorate in counseling from the University of Virginia, and has a master's degree from Michigan State University. She worked for four years as a school counselor for middle and high school youth populations.
She is a past president of both the Virginia Association for Clinical Counselors, and the American Association of State Counseling Boards. She served for 8 years on the Virginia Board of Counseling, with 2 years as chair.
