Edward J. Brooks, LCSW
A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree of Master of Social Work, Mr. Brooks earned his LCSW in March of 2003. He has expertise working with adolescent and adult substance abusing populations. In addition, Mr. Brooks has experience conducting family and group therapy. He has experience and competence working with individuals suffering with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, PTSD, anger issues, ADHD, and personality disorders, as well as individuals with a dual diagnosis. Mr. Brooks possesses an eclectic theoretical base, with emphasis on cognitive behavioral approaches, motivational interviewing, structural family therapy, solution focus, and strength perspectives. Also, Mr. Brooks has knowledge of crisis intervention and is trained in Level I EMDR.
