Patricia Hooker, Ph.D.

Patricia Hooker, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who joined Dominion Behavioral Healthcare as a part-time associate in September 2005. Dr. Hooker works exclusively with adults, and her primary areas of interest and experience include: individual therapy for mood and adjustment disorders; assessment of learning disabilities and ADHD; assessment of memory problems in older adults; and forensic assessment. In addition to her work at DBH, Dr. Hooker is employed full time as a mental health unit director for the Virginia Department of Corrections. She previously worked as a treatment team psychologist in the Forensic Unit at Central State Hospital, and she completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Forensic Services at Eastern State Hospital. Dr. Hooker earned her doctoral degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
